Charlie Kelly is one of the founding fathers of mountain biking. That means he has a pretty great collection of early mountain bikes, photographs, and memorabilia from the earliest days of the sport.
Would you like him to visit your bookstore, bike shop, or event?
For author events, interviews, and requests for free media copies of Kelly’s new book Fat Tire Flyer, please contact Dave Trendler at VeloPress via email at email@example.com.
Charlie Kelly has written for VeloNews and Bicycling, and is currently the U.S. mountain bike correspondent for Rouleur and Privateer magazines. He and Gary Fisher founded MountainBikes, selling Tom Ritchey’s first mountain bike frames as complete bikes. Charlie was also the founder and reigning official of the Repack mountain bike races in Marin, California. He was founder, editor and publisher of Fat Tire Flyer, the first mountain bike magazine. He is the supreme archivist of the origin of the sport of mountain biking.
